I’m always experimenting with pancakes recipes, I’m known amongst friends and family as a pancake lover! Today I’ve had a go at making a simple healthy pancake for breakfast with only three ingredients. The oats provide the fuel for the rest of the day, some protein from the egg and the natural sweetness from the banana. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.




  • 50g gluten free oats
  • 1 large banana
  • 1 egg


  1. Place the egg, banana and oats in a blender and blitz until you have a smooth pancake batter
  2. Heat a drizzle of oil in a shallow pan over a medium heat
  3. Divide the batter drop half the mixture into the pan and cook for a couple of minutes on each side
  4. Repeat with the rest of the mixture
  5. Enjoy your simple banana pancakes
