Serves 2


  • 400g can of jackfruit in brine
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons gluten free BBQ sauce, I used Heinz
  • 2 gluten free buns
  • 2 tablespoons dairy free cheese, grated
  • handful of spinach


  1. Drain away the brine from the jackfruit
  2. Rinse the jackfruit and place in a bowl
  3. Shred with two forks
  4. Heat the olive oil in a shallow pan over a medium heat
  5. Add in the jackfruit and stir fry for about 5 minutes
  6. Stir in the  BBQ sauce and cook for another 5 minutes
  7. Toast the gluten free buns and fill with the BBQ sauce, dairy free cheese and spinach
