One of my lovely followers on Facebook asked if I had a recipe for a gluten and dairy free naan bread, so Kim Skinner this recipe is for you.




  • 80 ml water, warmed in microwave for 30 seconds
  • 1 teaspoon caster sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dried active yeast
  • 140g gluten free plain flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • 15g dairy free spread
  • 1 tablespoon dairy free natural yoghurt
  • Coriander leaves, optional

  1. In a large bowl stir together the sugar, yeast and water, leave for 5 minutes
  2. Add the flour, salt, dairy free spread and yoghurt
  3. Knead by hand for about 5 minutes
  4. Cover the bowl with cling film and leave to rise for 45 minutes
  5. Knead gently then divide into 2 balls
  6. Drizzle a little olive oil in a frying pan and cook the naan breads for about 3 minutes on each side on a high heat
  7. I served them hot with a little dairy free spread melted on top and sprinkled with coriander leaves
