Gluten and Dairy Free Mushroom Toast

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • pinch of chilli flakes
  • 50 g chorizo diced
  • 1 tbsp dairy free cream cheese
  • 300 g mushrooms sliced
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 4 slices gluten free bread


  • Preheat the oven to 180 oC
  • Arrange the slices of bread onto a baking sheet
  • Place the olive oil into a shallow pan over a medium heat
  • Sauté the chilli flakes, onion, garlic, chorizo and mushrooms until golden, about 10 minutes
  • Place the mushroom mix into the bowl and stir in the dairy free cream cheese, basil and season to taste
  • Spoon onto the bread
  • Bake in the oven for 12 minutes
  • Enjoy warm
