Glazed Sausages with Apple Slaw

Ingredients

For the sausages:

  • 8 gluten free sausages
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon mustard

For the apple slaw:

  • 1/2 small red cabbage shredded
  • 1 small red onion finely sliced
  • 1 carrot grated
  • 1 Granny Smith apple grated
  • salt and pepper for seasoning
  • 100 g dairy free mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon chives

To serve:

  • 4 portions gluten free oven chips cooked per instructions on packet

Instructions

  • Whisk together the honey and mustard
  • Brush the sausages with the honey glaze
  • Cook the sausages in a shallow pan over a medium heat for about 12-15 minutes
  • To make the slaw, mix together the mayonnaise and vinegar, season with salt and pepper
  • Stir in the cabbage, onion, apple, carrot and chives
  • Serve with the glazed sausages and chips
