Ingredients
- 500 g pork diced
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 150 ml boiling water
- 4 spring onions sliced
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp chilli flakes
- 1 tsp Chinese 5 Spice
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsps brown sugar
- 4 tbsps apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsps tamari
To serve:
- 4 large handfuls od stir fry vegetable mix
- 200 g basmati rice cooked according to instructions on packet
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- Place all the ingredients for the pork into a slow cooker on a high setting and cook for 4 hours (alternatively you can do on a low setting for 8 hours)
- Remove the pork and pour the sauce into a saucepan
- Bring to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes to thicken the sauce
- Pour over the pork and serve with stir fried vegetables, rice and a sprinkle of sesame seeds
