Ingredients

  • 180 g gluten free pasta
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 small red chilli chopped
  • 1 green pepper chopped
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 250g minced beef
  • 300 ml passata
  • 1 tsp caster sugar
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp basil
  • salt and pepper for seasoning
  • 2 tbsp dairy free grated cheese optional

Instructions

  • Cook the pasta per the instructions on the packet while you are making the sauce
  • Add the olive oil to a large shallow pan over a medium heat
  • Saute the onion, garlic, pepper, chilli and beef for 5 minutes
  • Pour in the passata and simmer for 20 minutes
  • Stir in the sugar, oregano, basil and season to taste
  • Stir through the cooked pasta
  • As an option you can top with some dairy free grated cheese and place under the grill for a couple of minutes
