  • 2 chicken legs
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion diced
  • 75 g mushrooms sliced
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 200 ml passata
  • 50 ml red wine
  • 1/2 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1 bay leaf
  • salt and pepper for seasoning


  • Heat the olive oil in a large pan over a medium heat
  • Brown the chicken legs and then remove from the pan and set aside
  • Put the onions, mushrooms and garlic into the pan with the chicken juices
  • Saute the vegetables for 5 minutes
  • Add in the passata, red wine, rosemary, seasoning and bay leaf
  • Bring to the boil
  • Turn down to a simmer, add in the chicken and cook for 30 minutes or until the chicken legs are cooked
