Caramelised Apple Porridge

  • 100 g gluten free porridge oats
  • 700 ml water or dairy free milk
  • 2 apples cored and cut into thin wedges
  • 15 g dairy free spread
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar


  • Place the apples, dairy free spread, cinnamon and brown sugar into a shallow pan over a medium heat
  • Cook for about 5 minutes or until the apples are soft
  • Mix the oats and milk or water in a small saucepan
  • Bring to the boil and simmer for 4-5 minutes
  • Divide the porridge between two bowls and top with the caramelised apples
