Missing biscuits? I’ve had a go at making a hobnob style biscuit. It is crisp on the outside and slightly chewy in the middle. I’ve topped mine with dairy free dark chocolate but you could have them as is or add in some sultanas.




  • 65g dairy free spread
  • 65g gluten free self-raising flour
  • 60g light brown sugar
  • 65g gluten free porridge oats
  • 2 teaspoons golden syrup
  • 50g dairy free dark chocolate

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 oC
  2. Melt the golden syrup and the dairy free spread together in a small pan or in the microwave
  3. In a large bowl place the flour, sugar and oats
  4. Stir in the melted spread and syrup
  5. Stir until well combined
  6. Divide into 8 balls
  7. Place on a lined baking sheet
  8. Flatten into discs
  9. Bake for 18 minutes
  10. Allow to cool completely
  11. Melt the chocolate in a small bowl in the microwave
  12. Dip the biscuits into the chocolate
  13. Place on a sheet of baking parchment and allow the chocolate to set
